Amy’s Attic Self Storage, which operates six facilities in Texas, has launched a food-basket initiative to help those in need for the Thanksgiving holiday. The “Thankful for You – Thanks Given” campaign will provide food to 12 families nominated by the company’s tenants, according to a press release.
Staff from each Amy’s Attic facility will choose two families to support based on acts of service, volunteerism or community impact, or personal or financial need. Staff will create baskets containing traditional Thanksgiving meal essentials. The recipients can pick up the donation the week before the holiday at their local chamber of commerce.
“We believe community isn’t just something we’re part of—it’s something we build. With the ‘Thankful for You – Thanks Given’ baskets, we want to spotlight those unsung heroes and help those going through tough times,” said Bob Vamvas, director of operations.
