Cuboid Self-Storage, which operates container-based facilities throughout the United Kingdom, has built what it’s calling the “world’s largest advent calendar” out of storage containers at its site in Chorley, England. Each day of Advent, one of the 24 units will be opened, revealing toys and other gifts that’ll be donated to families and local charities. The company aims to distribute the items to 20,000 children across North West England, according to sources.
Cuboid is also providing warehouse space to Cash for Kids Mission Christmas, which collects toys, gifts and essential items so that children who might otherwise go without can still experience a moment of joy, sources reported.
“So much more than just an advent calendar, this festive campaign is a daily reminder that Christmas should be magical for every child,” said Laura Charlton, regional charity manager at Mission Christmas. “We genuinely believe that Cuboid has helped us to save Christmas for thousands of families across Lancashire with their incredible donation.”
