Federal Steel Systems, a supplier of pre-engineered steel building packages for various uses, launched its 2026 product line for self-storage and other commercial projects. The new packages include updated specifications intended to address evolving energy-efficiency standards and permitting requirements for new commercial construction, according to a press release.
The 2026 offerings incorporate revisions to insulation, structural engineering and material specifications to better align with current energy codes and regional-compliance requirements. These updates were developed in coordination with engineering partners and suppliers, the release stated.
Each commercial package includes engineered drawings prepared for permit submission, primary and secondary framing, panels, and accessory components specified during the design process. The same updated design standards are being applied across Federal’s industrial, agricultural, aviation and institutional building categories.

“The release of the 2026 commercial-building packages is part of our ongoing effort to keep pace with changes in building codes and energy expectations,” said Nick Guinn, vice president of sales and marketing. “By updating specifications annually, we aim to provide building owners and contractors with systems that are engineered for current requirements rather than retrofitted later in the process.”
Founded in 2009, Englewood, Colorado-based Federal Steel supplies pre-engineered steel building systems for commercial and industrial use including airplane hangars, barndominiums, garages, homes, self-storage, vehicle storage, warehousing and more.
