Hawai’i Self Storage, which operates seven facilities in O'ahu, Hawaii, has promoted Shaun Salvador to president. He replaces Daniel Ho, who departed the company last year after 16 years of service, according to sources.
Salvador has been with the company since 2002. Serving most recently as executive vice president of marketing and sales, he oversaw a team of more than 30 salespeople, coordinated monthly training seminars, managed all marketing programs and led the brand’s community outreach efforts. Prior to that, he served as a facility manager, sources reported.
In his new role, Salvador will now lead all operations and community outreach for the self-storage company.
Hawai’i Self Storage is operated by MW Group Ltd., a commercial real estate company based in Honolulu that acquires and develops assisted-living, industrial, office, retail and self-storage properties. The company’s storage facilities, comprising more than 600,000 square feet, offer boxes and packing supplies, vehicle storage, mailbox rentals and canoe storage. The operation has given nearly $4.4 million back to the communities it serves in the form of monetary donations, school and athletic programs, and student scholarships, according to its website.
