Here Self Storage (HSS), which opened its first facility in Loughborough, England in 2024, celebrated the grand opening of its second location, in Northampton, England, by throwing a community event and sponsoring 16-year-old twins Dan and Lauren Callaghan in their pursuit of go-kart fame. The company will provide financial backing and storage space for the siblings’ karts, tools, tires and other equipment as they prepare for the 2026 racing season, according to a press release.
The Callaghans compete on the go-karting circuit for Quinton House School in Upton, England, alongside their father, Ian. Dan has previously secured podium finishes for placing in the top three, while Lauren completed her debut season, the release stated.
“Racing is a huge part of our lives, and having a local business like Here Self Storage behind us makes all the difference,” Lauren said. “It feels special to represent our hometown wherever we race and to know people here are cheering us on.”

“When Ian, Dan and Lauren came to us, their story really stood out,” said HSS Branch Manager Mark Pettit. “It’s different, it’s fun and it shows the kind of energy Northampton has. For us, this isn’t just about storage units. It’s about being part of the town and helping people do what they love.”
The £7.2 million, 48,000-square-foot Northampton facility opened on Aug. 22 on the Lodge Farm Industrial Estate. HSS hosted a community event that offered facility tours, planting workshops and networking opportunities. Mark van Adrichem, CEO of Engage Management Services, which manages both HSS facilities, led the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the release stated.
HSS is developing a third location in Salisbury, England, scheduled to open later this year.
Founded in 2009 and led by van Adrichem and managing partner Anthony Adams, Engage has delivered over one million square feet of self-storage to the UK market and currently manages facilities across 15 locations.
