Kangaroo Self Storage, which operates 13 facilities in the United Kingdom, has become the official sponsor of Girls’ Emerging Talent Centres (ETC), which provide high-quality training environments and pathways for future female football (soccer) players. The program is part of the Carlisle United Community Sports Trust, which provides soccer schools in the city, according to the source.

“The support from Kangaroo Self Storage has been fantastic. They were very keen to get behind this brilliant project and empower the next generation of female footballers,” said James Toes, CEO of Carlisle. “Carlisle United and Kangaroo recognize that football is a brilliant way to build confidence, teamwork and opportunity both on and off the pitch, so we are delighted to have this partnership.”

Girls’ ETC identifies and develops players by providing greater accessibility and inclusivity for them to enhance their development regionally and nationally. It operates 73 chapters across England.

“We're delighted to support Carlisle United Community Sports Trust and the Girls’ Emerging Talent Centre. The ETC has a supportive culture that nurtures each girl's talents and encourages them to grow their self-belief, with the aim of preparing them for qualification to the professional pathway. This approach to individual development, together with the power of sport and team, is something our company practices and values,” said Adam Scott, storage manager for Kangaroo’s Carlisle location. “It was great to see the club get behind the girls at their recent home game and shine a light on the ETC and all that they have already achieved this season.”

Founded in 2004, Kangaroo operates 10 facilities in North West England and three in Scotland. In addition to self-storage, it offers rental office space at select locations.
