Lock+Store, which operates 15 self-storage locations in Singapore, is hosting an art exhibit called “Singapore, So Cantik La!” Featuring works by local digital illustrator Yeni Lim of Yenidraws, the event is intended to show how self-storage facilities can be creative, cultural spaces. It’ll run in conjunction with Singapore Art Week, Jan. 22-31, at 37 Keppel Road in the Tanjong Pagar Distripark, according to a press release.
The exhibit will be open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Its goal is to challenge traditional notions of where art belongs by “transforming an everyday, functional environment into a platform for storytelling, nostalgia and reflection.” Lim’s illustrations draw from familiar Singapore scenes, family life and everyday “barang-barang” (goods and personal belongings) from her childhood, capturing the quiet beauty of moments that many Singaporeans will recognize, the release stated.

“We’re especially pleased to support our customer and talented artist, Yeni Lim from Yenidraws. Singapore, So Cantik La! reflects our belief that even the most practical spaces can become platforms for creativity, connection and cultural expression,” said Lock+Store CEO Helen Ng.
“Singapore, So Cantik La! is a love letter to the everyday moments and objects that quietly shape who we are,” Lim said. “Showing this work in a self-storage space feels especially meaningful because these are the very places where we keep the things that hold our memories.”
Lock+Store operates self-storage facilities in Maylasia and Singapore as well as in Hong Kong under The Store House brand. It’s a subsidiary of General Storage Co.
