The Nebraska Self Storage Owners Association (NSSOA), which represents industry professionals in the state, has appointed Mason Gates, senior associate for Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, to its board of directors. He was selected by NSSOA President Bill Lange, according to a press release.
In his new role, Gates will help expand the association’s outreach and engagement, leveraging his expertise in self-storage brokerage and marketing. He specializes in the disposition and acquisition of self-storage in the Midwest and Mountain-West regions. Gates works with private and institutional-level clients, which yields market-specific insights, the release stated.
Gates has presented on the state of the Nebraska self-storage market at the association’s annual conference for the last two years. “I’m honored to take on this role and help expand the association’s reach by leveraging my experience to support Nebraska’s self-storage owners in a rapidly evolving market,” he said.

NSSOA provides educational resources including an annual conference and tradeshow, professional networking, and legislative advocacy. It also promotes industry standards. Its membership includes industry suppliers and vendors as well as independent and multi-facility owners and managers.
