QuikStor, a provider of software and security technology for the self-storage industry, has integrated its facility-management software with the CIA Access Control and Insomniac SmartLock Systems from OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of kiosks, call-center services and other technology for the self-storage industry. This collaboration enables real-time synchronization between tenant account status and facility access, allowing self-storage operators to automate gate and unit-access enforcement while reducing manual work, according to a press release.
QuikStor serves as the system of record for tenant accounts, while OpenTech's systems execute access permissions automatically. Tenant-status updates in the management software are reflected instantly at the gate and throughout the self-storage facility, ensuring access rules are enforced accurately and consistently without manual intervention. The integration is available now for operators using QuikStor software, the release stated.

“At QuikStor, our focus is on automating the day-to-day work that slows operators down. This integration brings access control into the core operating workflow, with real-time syncing and automatic-gate lockouts that remove manual steps and guesswork,” said Andre Hadzi-Pavlovic, chief innovation officer at QuikStor. “By connecting QuikStor Management Software with OpenTech keypads, operators get a more seamless, accurate and secure access experience across their facilities.”
“This integration is about removing friction for operators. The future of this industry depends on vendors embracing open [application programming interfaces],” said Jon Loftin, chief product officer for OpenTech Alliance. "Connecting QuikStor with our CIA access-control solution and Insomniac SmartLocks is a perfect example of how openness accelerates innovation, reduces manual effort and gives operators the confidence to run smarter, more efficient facilities.”
