MakoRabco, a nationwide supplier of buildings and construction-related services for the boat/RV-storage and self-storage industries, has created a strategic partnership with FlexSpace Nation, an organization facilitating progress in the growing flex-space asset class. MakoRabco will serve as a development and construction guide for developers and investors looking to build flex-space projects nationwide, according to a press release.
“Flex space represents a natural evolution in how commercial properties serve today’s tenants,” said Sarah Swingler, director of business development for MakoRabco. “This isn’t about replacing self-storage or traditional industrial, it's about expanding how developments can perform by meeting changing business needs. Our partnership with FlexSpace Nation helps bring clarity, consistency and real-world construction expertise to this growing segment.”
MakoRabco specializes in building design, supply and installation. The company formed in 2022 when Mako Steel Inc., founded in 1993, and Rabco Enterprises LLC, founded in 1988, joined forces. It has constructed more than 4,000 self-storage facilities nationwide, and operates from offices in Carlsbad, California, and Winter Garden, Florida. It was acquired by Trachte in March.
