The Storage Center, which operates 67 self-storage facilities in six states, is renewing its “Space to Succeed” scholarship program for college students following the success of its spring launch. The company is accepting applications for the fall and will award three additional $5,000 grants this year, according to a press release.
“Space to Succeed” was created to recognize and support students who are passionate about giving back and using education as a tool for lasting impact, company officials said. With the addition of a fall cycle, The Storage Center will now offer six scholarships annually.
Applications for the fall program will open on Oct. 1 to students who are 18 years or older and enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university for the spring semester. The deadline to apply is Nov. 30. Applicants must submit a 500- to 800-word essay that demonstrates their commitment to community service, explain how their education will help them continue and expand their impact, and include specific examples of service, leadership or advocacy work. Students are also required to upload a headshot and a community-service photo with their application. Selected winners will be announced publicly and featured on The Storage Center's website and social media platforms.
