Extra Space Storage Inc., a self-storage real estate investment trust (REIT) and management company, announced the promotion of Noah Springer to president, effective Jan. 5. He previously served as executive vice president, chief strategy and partnership officer. He’s also responsible for the company's third-party management program, joint ventures, human resources department and other strategic initiatives, according to a press release.
Springer joined Extra Space in 2006 after several years in the banking industry. During his time with the company, he’s served in various roles in acquisitions, asset management and third-party management. Springer has helped develop, lead and grow the company's third-party management platform, Management Plus, which now oversees more than 1,800 locations, the release stated.
Springer has been a member of the Extra Space senior-management team since 2014 and its executive team since 2020. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from the University of Utah.

Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Extra Space operates 4,238 self-storage facilities in 42 states under the Extra Space, Life Storage and Storage Express brand names. Its facilities comprise 326.9 million square feet of rentable space in 2.9 million units.
