PTI Security Systems, a provider of access-control technologies for the self-storage industry, has released the AP1+ Smart Keypad for access-control gates. Built on PTI’s existing AP1 platform, the new offering replaces the APEX keypad, using the same wiring and mounts, according to a press release.
Key enhancements include:
An integrated, high-resolution camera that captures time-stamped images and continuous video
Two-way audio for operator/tenant communication
A weather-resistant clamshell that withstands extreme temperatures
The ability to remotely configure settings and monitor status in real time
Access to comprehensive audit logs, detailed reports and alerts
Touchless mobile access that integrates with PTI’s StorID app
Streamlined upgrades and accessory additions, managed through the same interface
Over-the-wire updates to ensure new features and security patches are applied automatically
“AP1+ is further evidence of PTI Security Systems’ renewed innovation mindset,” said Nathan Davenport, chief technology officer. “Leveraging ASSA ABLOY design principles and leading product-development processes, we are delivering the next best-in-class smart keypad that serves operators of all sizes and their tenants, who expect both security and convenience.”
