OpenTech Alliance Inc., a Phoenix-based provider of kiosks, call-center services and other technology for the self-storage industry, has partnered with Storco, a manufacturer of self-storage building components, to fast-track the installation of electronic locks on unit doors in Australia and New Zealand. Moving forward, Storco’s roller and swing doors can come pre-punched for and even equipped with OpenTech’s Insomniac SmartLock, according to a press release.
SmartLock is a Bluetooth-enabled, keyless locking system that offers self-storage renters secure, access to their units via keypad or mobile app. It provides facility operators with full visibility and control via the cloud.
“By partnering with Storco, we’re empowering storage operators in Australasia to implement automated unit access quicker and more reliably,” said Kristi Adams, chief marketing officer for OpenTech. “Storco’s reputation for manufacturing excellence and regional expertise makes them the ideal partner to support our expansion to deliver a superior [installation] experience for our customers and better keyless-entry experience for their tenants.”
