Upsize USA, a provider of modular storage containers, is offering a revenue-share partnership for self-storage operators looking to grow their site inventory without significant upfront investment. The program is intended to eliminate the high construction costs and debt-liquidity challenges associated with standard expansion projects, according to a press release.
Upsize will provide modular units to partners at no cost to the self-storage business. The company handles all logistics including permitting, installation and coordination. The facility operator then earns a portion of the rental income generated by the new inventory. Every partnership begins with a unit-mix audit to identify local customer needs and maximize coverage.
“We recognized that many facilities have untapped potential—underutilized spaces and unmet customer demand—but traditional expansion requires significant capital and lengthy construction,” the release states. “Our model flips the script by providing the infrastructure and sharing the revenue from day one.”
